Eligibility

You must be registered with a GP in the Wandsworth area.

Eligibility for Podiatric treatment is based on Podiatric need, ie a problem that cannot be treated by the individual concerned. This need will be assessed on an individual basis, it is not based on age or specific to certain medical conditions, such as diabetes.

Nail care will only be provided to patients who have vascular or neurological complications, are receiving anti-coagulant therapy or have a disability that prevents them caring for their own feet. If you are not eligible for the service we will suggest the most appropriate action to help with your problem, including nail care advice.

Referrals

Referrals are accepted from GPs, Healthcare professionals and self-referrals for community clinics, home visits, nail surgery and diabetic ulcer clinic. However, referrals to our Biomechanics and Podiatric surgery services will only be accepted from your GP, Podiatrist or other healthcare professional.
