Working at Queen Mary's

At Queen Mary's we work hard to recruit and retain the very best workforce to make sure we provide high standards of healthcare.

There are more than 600 members of staff at Queen Mary's delivering a wide range of services. As well as clinical staff like nurses, doctors, therapists and prosthetists, it also takes an range of administration and support staff like porters, caterers, security and cleaners to make sure that the hospital runs smoothly.

We believe that our staff is our greatest assett and are committed to creating a working environment in which every member of staff feels valued and supported and is able to perform to the best of their ability.

Staff at Queen Mary's worked in partnership with other Community Services Wandsworth staff to develop Excellence through commitment - Our Staff Charter. There are seven values our staff felt were important to them:

  • leadership
  • personal development
  • communication
  • organisation development
  • quality
  • working in partnership
  • a healthy workplace
